Final Fantasy Type-0 HD director Hajime Tabata revealed that that upcoming Final Fantasy XV demo might be a limited-time offer.
Featured above, the director was interviewed by Square Enix USA in which he confirmed the possibility:
“For the users who have been waiting, we really wanted to provide a version of the game that could be played as soon as possible, so we thought up this sort of gift. But rather than make it available forever, we’re thinking of a cut-off period. It wouldn’t be a very long period, in order to make its existence feel a little more special.”
This is still something that is not set in stone, so don’t get your pitchforks and torches out just yet. The demo itself, “Episode Duscae,” is reportedly going to last around three to four hours if you really dig into everything. Tabata also confirmed that Square Enix will be watching the feedback of fans in regards to the demo, and wish to set up a method for their fans to voice their opinions.
Lastly, while Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is locked in for a March 17th release in North America (March 20th for Europeans), Final Fantasy XV might not be out as soon as you were hoping.
