Blazing Griffin is launching The Ship Remastered tomorrow, February 15th, for PC and Mac.
The game will launch for PC and Mac via Steam, and it will be primarily distributed through Steam Early Access. Yes, this means the remaster isn’t complete as of yet, and the game is in early alpha.
The goal of the game is to stealthily kill your randomly selected target, a task given out by the mysterious Mr. X. You’ll have to tend to your own basic needs while avoiding your own hunter on the ship.
While the developer has provided a development roadmap (which they plan to update frequently), the game’s core multiplayer component will only work via LAN at first. Currently the dedicated servers have “basic functionality,” however the “setup is currently being worked on.”
For those wondering, the developer has “no plans to recreate the original single player game.”
When unlocked on Steam Early Access, The Ship Remastered will cost $20, with a 25% discount for owners of the original 2006 game.
