The one preview (via IGN) that confirms The Quarry movie mode let’s you watch it like a movie confirms the new mode actually gives you three options for the non-video game, movie-watching experience: everyone lives, everyone dies, and the Director’s Chair.
The latter of which, Director’s Chair, lets viewers using The Quarry movie mode to tweak the behavior of characters in certain situations – likely pre-defined and story-altering moments in the narrative-adventure.
For those who believe all video games should be have an easy mode, there’s also various “accessibility options” like simpler quick time events, aim-assist, modifiable interrupt timers, and even the ability to turn off all combat.
The Quarry features some big Hollywood names like David Arquette (“Scream” franchise), Ariel Winter (“Modern Family”), Justice Smith (“Jurassic World”), Brenda Song (“Dollface”), Lance Henriksen (“Aliens”), Lin Shaye (“A Nightmare on Elm Street”). The story begins on the last night of camp when things go wrong and your choices decide who is saved or killed.
