This week’s issue of Famitsu has revealed a rather interesting bit of information—the producer of Toukiden Kiwami wants to put the game on consoles.
Speaking to the magazine, producer Takashi Morinaka revealed the new development:
“Toukiden is definitely a fun game on both PSP and Vita, but I don’t think anyone will disagree with the fact that the game’s visuals were held back due to the limitations of the PSP hardware. Coming from this, I want to improve the overall presentation of the series, and bring it to home consoles.”
He continued:
“I envision an ecosystem where you can play the game on the go via a portable system, and then when you return home, you can resume playing on your home console. We’ve gotten a lot of fan demand from around the world regarding the game coming to consoles, so hopefully they keep requesting it .. so that we can make it happen.”
In case you missed it: Toukiden Kiwami was confirmed for a western release some time in 2015.
