A few days ago we reported on a tease from Sony Japan for the return of the Pocketstation in some shape or form. We didn’t know what it would be, but we knew that it was coming today.

Now we’ve come to find out that Sony Japan is releasing a Pocketstation App on the PlayStation Vita, which will be free until December 2nd, after which it will be available for non PlayStation Plus users.

You can view a trailer for it above.

The app will feature mini games from Mega Man, Ape Escape, Crash Bandicoot 3, and many other PlayStation classics. Dokodemo Issho, the game where Sony’s mascot Toro Inoue first appeared, will also be available. In total, there will be 46 titles available for it at launch, which you can find here.

No word on whether or not this app will make it outside of Japan, but here’s hoping!
