It seems Nintendo isn’t the only one having issues keeping their network up, with the massive influx of new users due to the holidays.

Sony’s Playstation Network has been experiencing regular outages since before Christmas, as well as Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade. Although both companies seemed to take care of the problems and get back up to speed with the new users, Sony seems to be still struggling alongside Nintendo.

Users are reporting issues viewing friends lists, with an error code CE-34861-2 coming back to them as they attempt to do view their friends. The very same error code pops up when you try to access friends’ profiles on the console itself, or via the mobile app.

Everything else seems stable on the Playstation Network, although the Nintendo eShop is still completely down across both platforms.
