the witcher 3 11-13-15-1

The Game Awards have announced both the categories and nominees for their 2015 show.

The event this year will take place on December 3rd, at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. You’ll be able to livestream it across a multitude of devices, websites, and platforms, including go90, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Wii U, Steam, Twitch, YouTube, and so on.

We’ve compiled a list of the nominees below:

Nominees

In some cases, the jury is provided advanced review code of upcoming games in order to meet the Game Awards 2015 judging deadlines. There’s no way MH4U can lose out to any of those shitty mobiles. NONE of
those games can even hold a candle to MH4U in terms of gameplay or
content. In fact, why aren’t more of the games in that category other
PSVita or 3DS games? Why is it just ONE 3DS games and all the others
Mobile? What the fuck? Why aren’t there separate categories? One for
handhelds and then one for mobile?

And what’s up with this voice acting award? Burch can’t act for fucking shit.
    And
those other nominees are meh at worst, kinda good at best. Only
exception is Mark Hamill. Mark Hamill is the most talented VA among that
    list, no doubt about it.

    > inb4 Burch gets the award because “muh social justice”

Sunset is $20, so it certainly isn’t cheap games. I haven’t played Undertale, and while I have heard that it is actually good (and I’m not doubting that or anything), the premise of “A JRPG where you don’t have to kill anyone” is exactly the kind of game they’d go nuts for; even if the game itself was awful.

If It doesn’t win and something awful like Cibele or Sunset does, then you know there’s some sort of conflict of interest going on because there’s no way this pretentious crap should be good enough to even be considered for an award.

I do recommend it, it’s personally my game of the year. But I see what you’re saying. All of the games in that category are very cliche, “progressive” and “artsy”, have a lot of SJW themes. Meanwhile Undertale is ACTUALLY progressive in how it uses its traditional gameplay. GAMEPLAY! Something the others don’t have!

Undertale is under “games for change” because it used a fighting system that was incredibly different and could significantly alter the outlook of the rest of the game, and did meta breaks more so than any other game imho. But its really the only game in that category that deserves to be there. First and foremost it has GAMEPLAY.

Splatoon is completely missing… its greatly annoying me. And Undertale not in best soundtracks? WTF? Even on steam, the first tag is “Great Soundtrack”. You can even buy the soundtrack separately for ten bucks, same price as the game. When it released, I thought that was stupid. Who would even pay for the same price… then I played the game. It might just be me but I even bought the Anarchy Reigns CD for 30 bucks so I could play it in my car. Shits gold.

Life In strange is in the category & the price is £16 quid not cheap.

Lead woman character nothing wrong with that as I bought it but influence matters.

That bayonette created & devise by a woman that other SJWs goes into a hissy fit be acceptable.

another good example of influence is between arkham city & arkham knight of catwoman.

Senran is like a 5/10 game at best. The gameplay is incredibly shallow.

And I really can’t think of a JRPG released this year that I would say deserves to be called GOTY. Some decent ones, sure, but mostly forgettable.

Sunset is a critical failure. There is no reason whatsoever for it to get any kind of award. And “Games for Change” is the most useless category for awards in this list. I would actually suggest NOT voting for Undertale in this category, and focus instead on getting it up as the best indie title (which it actually deserves). If Undertale won “Games for Change” I feel like that would put a bad stigma on it as a SJW pandering title like the others on that list, when the game itself is very good and deserving of better than that.

I think “doesn’t like stereotypical looking Japanese games” would be more accurate.

Games like Bloodborne and MGS have more of a western flare to them, enough so that a lot of people probably don’t even associate them with Japan much if at all even though they are Japanese games.

They didn’t, Kojima Productions did. They’re awarding the studio that actually made the games, not the publisher or parent company.

I think its pretty funny actually, considering the lengths Konami went to disown Kojima Productions and erase their name off everything.

As i said originally not as many big jrpgs as last year, for goty trails in the sky second chapter and Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker are both quite good. If talking about sales atelier games always sell really well.

there were many others but not that great and i haven’t played legend of legacy or tales of zestria yet. senran is always very enjoyable more so if you really get into the silly stories but the 3ds ones less so since my fav character ryona isn’t in them.

Exactly! Trying to put iOS/Android games to compete with a 3DS game is like comparing a basketball to a watermelon. Sure, they’re both round, but they’re so different it’s not funny. Same in the sense that sure, I guess you could call 3DS/Vita games “mobile” since they’re made for on-the-go play, as are iOS/Android games, but the similarities stop there.

There needs to be a category for Handheld, and a category for Mobile. Knowing these chucklefucks, everything’s already decided anyway.
