Taito has announced the release date for The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors (known as The Ninja Warriors: Once Again in Japan).
The throwback action game is launching for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on July 25th in Japan and Asia. The initial release will be digital only. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game. A western release is planned, however it isn’t dated yet.
United Games previously confirmed a physical release for the game, in both a standard retail version and a limited limited physical editions through Strictly Limited Games. Strictly Limited is taking orders for the physical version now, however a release date isn’t confirmed yet.
For those confused by the name and such – The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is essentially a reboot of the Super Nintendo game The Ninja Warriors Again. The new release is updated with new visuals, a re-recorded soundtrack, two new characters, two player local co-op, and more.
