Word of the next Yakuza game came out before this week’s Famitsu magazine officially hit the shelves, but now we’ve learned what platform the game is being developed on.

The game is set for a release on the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. Series boss Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Masayoshi Yokoyama both said that this game is not a spinoff, but they haven’t confirmed yet if this is a main (numbered) game in the series.

They did, however, confirm that the game would have thriving city environments, and that they are hoping to make the game an experience that their target male audience can thoroughly enjoy. They’re even holding auditions to include male fans into the game, as denizens of the various cities.

Lastly, a release date was not confirmed. We’ll keep you guys posted.
