Nintendo has confirmed the New 3DS release date in North America and Europe.
The handheld will launch in North America and Europe on February 13th, just like prior leaks had suggested. While us Americans are only getting the system in XL form factor and gray/red color options, Europeans are getting both the standard (black and white) and XL (gray and blue).
The New 3DS features an upgraded CPU, new motion-tracking 3D capabilities, NFC compatibility designed for the Amiibo figurines, better battery life, and more. The system comes bundled with a 4GB micro-SD card, but what it doesn’t come with is an AC adapter (but DSi or 3DS adapters work).
