Imprint Films has announced The NeverEnding Story 4K remaster, the first 4K remaster of the classic 1980s fantasy-adventure film by Wolfgang Petersen.
The classic 1980s fantasy film is getting a full 4K restoration / remaster from the original 35MM negatives in celebration of its 40th anniversary, and will be presented in glorious Dolby Vision.
The NeverEnding Story 4K is coming exclusively via Imprint Films on November 27th, and in a big crazy Limited Edition for $249 AUD (roughly $168 USD) via their online store.
It’s likely the distributor of the film in the Americas, Warner Bros., will license this new restoration out in the future and release it in the American market. Despite how nice the big limited box is, hopefully we’ll get a mass market option for budget cinephiles too.
