We haven’t known much about the upcoming Playstation Vita spinoff for Sword Art Online, titled simply Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. Thanks to Dengeki Playstation, we finally have some more details regarding the game, most notably the mystery character shown in the game’s reveal trailer.
The mystery girl shown in the game’s reveal trailer is actually named Filia (pictured above), and she’s voiced by Yui Ishikawa, who is known for her role as Mikasa in Attack on Titan. Filia bumps into the protagonist Kirito, while he is exploring the Hollow Area region of Aincrad.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has ad-hoc multiplayer, which supports up to eight characters, i.e. four players with partner characters. Each player will be able to customize their Kirito by changing their face, hair, and voice.
Dengeki also shared some more details, like having actions you can perform with your partner, enhanced graphics for the Playstation Vita hardware, and also being able to control the camera.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is set for release on Vita next year in Japan.
