When we last covered the long dark, it was already in the swing of things with its kickstarter campaign. Now, their kickstarter campaign has concluded, and they have crossed several stretch goals as well:

  • $225,000 Will add a downloadable graphic novel to be included with all backer tiers
  • $250,000 Unlocks the game’s score to be doubled in size.

The game’s musical score is being composed by veterans Cris Velasco and Sasch Dikiciyan, famous for their work on the Borderlands, God of War, Mass Effect and Starcraft franchises.

You can check out the first gameplay footage for the game below:

The Long Dark is currently set to be released on PC, Mac, Linux and obviously – the Oculus Rift. Their next stretch goal, at $275,000, will let them translate the game into German, Italian, French, and Spanish, alongside this awesome little bit:

  • The Long Dark Radio Play. We’re going to pull award-winning voice talents like Mark Meer, Elias Toufexis, Jennifer Hale, and David Hayter into a sound studio and have them act out a radio play from The Long Dark universe.

If you missed out pledging to The Long Dark on their kickstarter, you can still throw money at Hinterland via their website here.
