The Long Dark, the post apocalyptic survival simulator by Hinterland Studio, is arriving on Steam Early Access next month.

Beginning on September 22nd, players will be able to sample the game’s Sandbox mode, which is being poised to bring dozens of hours of glorious survival simulation. Set within the Canadian wilderness, players have to manage their vitals like temperature, fatigue, calories, and of course, hunger and thirst.

“We’ll be announcing some exciting new content updates as we get closer to the Early Access launch date,” said Hinterland Studio in a press release. “Players can expect new gameplay systems, new gear, and several new locations to explore, as well as some other fun surprises.”
