The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Guide – Import horses from Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Did you know you can bring your horses from Breath of the Wild over to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The horses you tamed in Breath of the Wild can easily be brought over into your new game, saving you a lot of time.

How to import your horses from Breath of the Wild

It couldn’t be easier to import your horses into Tears of the Kingdom.

  1. Go to your Nintendo Switch settings -> Data Management -> Save Data Cloud.
  2. Ensure your save data from Breath of the Wild is backed up to the cloud.
  3. Once that’s done, go to any stable in Tears of the Kingdom
  4. Your horses should now be available!

Some users have reported that their horses haven’t appeared. It’s unclear at the moment what could cause this glitch but some users speculate that some special horses, or horses from Master Mode saves can’t be imported. We haven’t tested this ourselves so hopefully it’s just bad luck.

Now you can hit the game running (or galloping) with your old equine buddies.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
