The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel Launches 2022

Nintendo have announced the release date for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild; during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct.

Teased since E3 2019; details on the game are still scant, including its title. What we do see is that chunks of Hyrule are lifted high into the sky, much like Skyward Sword. However, there are also smaller land-masses that may contain self contained challenges and puzzles.

We also see new powers akin to the runes of Breath of the Wild. These seem to rewinding time for an object (while stasis in the original game only froze time), reversing gravity for Link and other objects such as water, and being able to phase through solid objects. The player will also have access to new weapons, such as what appears to be a flamethrower.

Enemies are also new and have learned some other tricks. Such as giant worms, and Bokoblins building a small fort atop a Pebblit.

You can find the E3 2021 trailer below.

We will keep you informed as we learn more.
