We’ve known for awhile that XSEED and Carpe Fulgur have been localizing the much anticipated sequel for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The game was set for a planned release in the middle of this year, and I dunno about your sense of time, but it’s essentially passed the mid-way point of 2014.
So what happened? Did the game just get quietly delayed? In fact, this is precisely what happened, as pointed out by XSEED on their official Facebook page. In a reply to a fan’s request, an XSEED representative said:
“Nobody wants that game released ASAP more than us, but afraid it’s a bit delayed and probably the end of the year is the best we can hope for.”
The bulk of the localizing is being handled by Carpe Fulgur, the studio that put out Recettear on PC. Whenever it’s finished, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter is coming to both PC and PSP (and by proxy the Playstation Vita).
