The League of Explorers Announced for Hearthstone, Coming This Week

Blizzard has announced the latest expansion for Hearthstone, their digital trading card game.

The new expansion is dubbed simply “The League of Explorers,” and it’s going to launch quite soon – this week, actually, on November 12th.

“League of Explorers is a fun mix of memorable locations from Warcraft and exciting new locations to battle through,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Players who join the expedition are in for a good time and will walk away with some great new cards for their collections.”

The new expansion will send players out on expeditions to recover a mysterious lost relic. The expansion also brings four new heroes (pictured above from left to right), Elise Starseeker, Reno Jackson, Sir Finley Mrrgglton, and Brann Bronzebeard.

The four League of Explorers locations are set to open on a weekly basis (one per week) over the course of a month, with a one-week break during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Finally, you’ll be able to purchase  The League of Explorers in full for $19.99 USD, one location at a time for 700 gold or $6.99 USD each, and even in discounted bundles based upon the number of individual locations you’ve already bought.
