Naughty Dog have announced that The Last of Us Part II has gone gold. Despite hindrances due to the coronavirus pandemic, the game is now complete.
The developer shared a video from Vice President Neil Druckmann. Therein he confirmed the game had gone gold, congratulated the hard work of the developers, and thanked the fans for their patience.
Druckmann also concluded the video with a clear reference to the recent leaks about the game, and the negative reception they had generated. “No matter what you’ve seen, or heard, or read- nothing compares to playing this thing from beginning to end. It’s a video game, you gotta play it.”
