The Last of Us Part 1 coming to PC “very soon” after PS5

The Last of Us

The release The Last of Us Part 1 is just around the corner for Playstation 5 owners.

However, those who play games on PC have been curious as to when they will get their hands on the remake of the 2013 classic. Luckily, it seems that they will not have to wait long according to Naughty Dog senior environment texture artist Jonathan Benainous.

A fan shared with Benainous their excitement for The Last of Us coming to PC and Benainous reponded by letting them know that the PC release will come out “a bit later, but very soon after the PS5 release!”

News about The Last of Us Part 1 has been up and down over the last several weeks since its announcement this summer. Fans initially were optimistic to see some of the gameplay improvements that had been introduced into The Last of Us Part 2 being added to The Last of Us Part 1.

It came to light via leaks, that Naughty Dog has opted to keep the gameplay identical to the gameplay of the original and instead focus their attention on graphical improvements, as well as a slew of accessibility features.

Sony recently released a new trailer for all the changes that are coming to The Last of Us Part 1 and that trailer appears to have won over at least some of the doubters in the game, but many still question the necessity of a $70 price tag for a title that will be shipping with less content than the original release.

Knowing Naughty Dog, The Last of Us Part 1 will no doubt sell well and be well received by their fans when it releases on September 2, on PlayStation 5. It would be hard to imagine that enthusiasm would dwindle on the PC either.
