The Last Blade Now Available on PC via Steam

SNK Playmore has released The Last Blade for PC, via Steam.

The new PC port was handled by Dotemu, and is available for $9.99. Fans can expect a dozen playable characters, as well as online multiplayer and leaderboards. The Last Blade was originally released for arcades back in 1997.

The Last Blade, the first entry in the legendary 2D weapons-based fighter set during the twilight years of the Tokugawa shogunate, returns for another joust! Sharpen your blade, and be ready for some of the most epic battles on Steam!

Key Features

  • Arcade: Pick a fighter from the 12 (+2 boss) characters available, and select between the simple and highly-damaging “Power” mode, or the technical and deep “Speed” game mechanic. Challenge and defeat all 10 opponents who will stand in your way, and learn more about your character’s story via the splendid game endings!
  • Multiplayer: Connect to Steam, and cross swords with the best of the best in “THE LAST BLADE” via the “Invite a Friend” & “Lobby” multiplayer features.
  • Leaderboards: Check your current rank & score in “THE LAST BLADE” at any time, as well as those of your friends and other top players!
  • Settings: Configure various types of video options, controls and volume sound settings to your preference for the most pleasant The Last Blade experience ever. (*The menu language set to be displayed can be chosen and edited at any time from the “language” tab in Properties.)

    Can confirm game is not worth buying, at least for $9.99. Online was dead on arrival, and ran into connection issues with the matches I did play.

    Either wait for a sale or use Fightcade

    their ports are mediocre at best to be honest, the lag in the last level of Metal Slug 3 is unbearable

    Isn’t a port, It’s a cheap emulation. They use Nebula for emulation, change de settings to console mode, and put his horrible frontend. The emulation is weird and unconfotable (in window mode lost music/voice sync), no filters and lame button configuration, the lastest MAME version destroy the @ss of this thing.
