The Kunoichi Play Hospital in These Senran Kagura: New Wave Cards

Senran Kagura: New Wave is a card battling game that has been available on both iOS and Android devices in Japan.

The game has been so popular that it has even seen a crossover promotion with Draw Girls, and that it still regularly gets new cards added to it.

We’ve learned that a batch of hospital/nurse themed cards have recently been added to the game, the majority of which are sure to make you weak in the knees or something. [Ed: probably “or something”.]

More New Wave reporting would be cool if just for the sake of the image sets!

You say “coming to,” but the event started days ago. They’re already out.

Not that you actually have a snowman’s chance in hell of chance of getting one without paying. Except the twintail girl with the giant syringe and no background, though. They hand those out like flyers as a consolation prize of sorts for the free players. I have like 5 or 6 of her.

Apologies for that – I updated the OP with that. So they’re really difficult to get without forking up money eh?

No worries. It was a pretty nitpicky and inconsequential point. I just felt like mentioning it.

It varies by card. Some can specifically only be obtained through the for-money draw system. They do give you a free ticket for it every once in a while, but even then you have to beat the odds and actually draw something good. I’d say it never happens, but I got one of the nurse event s-rares with mine, so I guess it does. Others require you to rank very high or score a lot of points in the event, and the system gives an overwhelming advantage to paying players.

Also, in case you don’t know, New Wave is running it’s second SK-wide popularity poll. Last time it was New Wave girls only, and Souji won (center girl in https://twitter.com/kenichiro_taka/status/516945059283865601). This time it’s all SK girls, and while it’s not over yet, the current rankings are 1st: Yumi, 2nd: Bashou (green-haired girl in the center image in your article) and 3rd: Ikaruga. You get votes by playing new wave, so it’s not exactly a perfect cross-section of all SK fans, but it’s cool to see one of the new girls make it to the top 3.

Xseed needs to get to work on localizing this one! I bet this game would play smoothly on the Nvidia Shield, that or an IPad; just don’t play it In public.

Just saying, I recently (well, I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now) got a new phone, which one of them fancy Star Trek phones with the modernized touch screen and appy goodness, unlike my old phone which was a brick. But still, I would like to get New Wave on my phone so I do hope this gets a western release~ :D

Yup hopefully this one gets localized, just don’t play it in public!

P.S. Congrats on the new phone.

Pfft, screw not playing it in public! I shall be very proud to play it publicly! Yeah, the phone was a gift, and was quite necessary because my old phone never had any credit since it was on unlimited monthly, which was terrible because I rarely text and it costs to much monthly. So pay as you go is much better, and because I must get “modernized”~ >_<
