SNK has launched a special new website to commemorate the The King of Fighters series 30th anniversary.

The new website features a message from the developers and highlights the first game in the series – The King of Fighters ’94, which launched today on August 25th way back in 1994. The most recent game, The King of Fighters XV, launched in 2022.

Here’s a rundown on the anniversary, plus the various programming planned to celebrate:

On August 25, 1994, the very first title in the KOF series, THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’94, made its explosive debut on the Neo-Geo MVS arcade system.

Since then, the KOF series has grown into the largest fighting game franchise, with numerous titles leading up to the latest release, “THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV,” in 2022.

Thanks to the unwavering support of fans worldwide, the series proudly marks its 30th anniversary on August 25. This beloved series has spanned generations and transcended borders, creating a global legacy. SNK is committed to taking on new challenges and meeting KOF fans’ expectations everywhere. Here’s to many more years of fighting greatness!
