The Gorgeous Pixelated RPG, Heart Forth, Alicia, is Funded in Less Than Two Days

Press play on the video above to see an absolutely stunning game made up of lavish pixel art. Heart Forth, Alicia is an indie game made by one man, Mexico based developer Alonso Martin. While the name is a bit hard to roll off your tongue, you can’t deny its instant appeal.

Heart Forth, Alicia is described as yet another metroidvania inspired game that uses a mix of 16-bit and 32-bit graphics. The gameplay is inspired by the stuff you could see in classics within that graphic style, while also fusing that classic gameplay with modern mechanics and even multiple storylines.

The game has been up on Kickstarter for less than two days now and it has already surpassed its funding goal of $60,000 dollars. Heart Forth, Alicia has 28 days to go still, and it shows no sign of slowing. To celebrate the fact that the game has been funded, Alonso has posted an update on the Kickstarter page to hint that the game might come to other platforms:

Of course, we’re also working on porting the game to other platforms. We’re trying to make exciting and worthwhile stretch goals for you, but at the same time we want to avoid jeopardizing the game itself by bloating our goals.

Alonso started working on the game back in 2007, nearly seven years later his passion for the title exudes from every pixel that shines brilliantly in that Kickstarter video. Now that the game has been funded, it’s on track to be released on PC in roughly a year, in May of 2015.

If you want to fund Heart Forth, Alicia, head on over to the Kickstarter campaign.
