Indie developer Fun Dog Studios has shared the first look at gameplay in The Forever Winter, their new co-op survival horror shooter.

“Our work on The Forever Winter started out with one simple truth: war is hell. There’s a time and a place for the power fantasy of being a super soldier, but frankly, it’s been done time and time again,” said Miles Williams, CEO and Creative Director of Fun Dog Studios. “With The Forever Winter, we wanted to redefine victory as survival – ensuring that every battle is hard fought, and every defeat is a lesson learned. You’ll be rewarded for fighting smarter, not harder, and maintaining situational awareness in a world we designed to be as unforgiving as it is unforgettable. While your power will grow, you’ll always be a mouse in a maze, to survive, you’ll have to work together.”

The Forever Winter is a co-op tactical survival horror shooter where you and your squad must loot the dead to survive under the shadow of terrifying and gargantuan war machines locked in a never-ending conflict.

• You’re A Small Fish In A Big Apocalypse – Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:
• War. War Always Changes – The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The Forever Winter is in development for Windows PC (via Steam) and potentially other platforms based on the game’s success and community feedback.
