This week’s Famitsu has finally revealed the second Galapagos RPG from Compile Heart, and just like the previous tease indicated – it is a Playstation 4 exclusive. This bit of news confirms the game as the console’s first exclusive JRPG, which is surely the first of many.

The game is dubbed simply Omega Quintet, and it’s described as a fusion of an idol management simulator and a traditional RPG. The world the game takes place in is being attacked by a strange, mysterious calamity called “Beep,” which is corrupting people’s minds.

The five maidens are the only people who have the power (via singing) to fight Beep. The heroines within the game are made up of Kanadeko (voice actress unknown), Kyouka (voiced by Rui Tanabe), Otoha (voiced by Riho Iida), an unconfirmed character (voiced by Inori Minase), and lastly an entirely ambiguous character whose voice actress isn’t confirmed either.

The game is roughly 60% percent complete, Hukahire is handling the character designs, and Kenta Sugano is at the helm of the project as director. The music is being composed by Lantis, and it’s also being produced by Idea Will.

Omega Quintet will be releasing in Japan on Playstation 4 on September 18th, and it will retail for 6,980 yen in the standard release, and 8,980 yen for the limited edition. The limited edition will come with a special box and a booklet, and all pre-orders come with a soundtrack CD.
