The guys at Team Meat have finally given us an in game look at their upcoming cat reproduction simulator of sorts, Mew-Genics. Well, I have some good news and some bad news: the good news is that this reveal is hilarious, the bad news is that it’s not exactly what you were hoping for.

Instead of giving us a thorough look at the game running, we get to see a pregnant female cat give birth to a litter of kittens while the father (in a very creepy manner) watches on. The father, Manchester, is noted as being very fertile as he got the mother, Dr. Butts, pregnant very quickly.

In the update to the Mew-Genics blog, Edmund also explains how the cats will evolve and change as they grow up. Pending which cats you pair together for a litter, their offspring will naturally inherit traits from one or the other, or both. Franky II is described as having his father’s head shape, body and tail, while having his mother’s body markings.

The rest of the post is either sarcasm or actual teasing of future cat developments, at this point I really can’t tell. Whatever the case, Mew-Genics is certainly shaping up to be a very interesting game.. a game about cat genetics, right?
