The Fall Guy has Ryan Gosling going full stuntman with new personality drop

The Fall Guy

A new personality just dropped in Ryan Gosling’s latest blockbuster film, The Fall Guy, where the iconic face of every man becomes a full stunt actor.

The new trailer shows off the film, which is based on the 1980s TV show of the same name, with Gosling starring as Colt Seavers – a seasoned but past-his-prime stuntman that gets caught up in a mystery.

The Fall Guy follows Colt as a stuntman working A-list Hollywood movies, with his latest gig being directed by his ex-girlfriend, Jody Moreno (played by Emily Blunt). Both Colt and Moreno have history together, which seems to be weaved throughout the entire trailer.

The same film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tom Ryder, a famous action movie star, whom Colt doubled for as a stuntman years ago. During production Ryder goes missing and Colt volunteers to play detective as the movie without its star will probably end up getting cancelled.

The Fall Guy is directed by David Leitch, who is known for co-directing the original John Wick (though uncredited), Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, and the Fast & Furious spinoff film Hobbs & Shaw. You can see Leitch’s touch even in the film’s first trailer – there’s plenty of action and comedy sprinkled throughout. Colt even gets a canine best friend towards the end.

Here’s the full official trailer:

The Fall Guy is set to premiere in the United States on March 1st, 2024, via Universal Pictures.
