The Extreeeeme Producer, Tak Fujii, has Left Konami

Tak Fujii, the most extreeeeme producer from Japan and more recently the lead producer of Nintey-Nine Nights II, has parted ways with Konami.

“It’s been great 20 years of creation,” Fujii said on Twitter. “Thanks for all who supported, loved my titles. Farewell and may the extreeeeemeness be with Konami.”

Fujii’s extreeemeness has become somewhat of a meme at this point, but no worries – his departure from Konami won’t stop him from being extreme.

It also sounds like he isn’t retiring, although he was diagnosed with cancer back in October.

Fujii is a pretty cool guy. Eh bees extreme and doesn’t afraid of anything.

I recall playing Nintey-Nine Nights, but all I remember was that it was like Dynasty Warriors. Oh, and that I laughed when I heard the name and said “That alliteration, bro.”
