It seems like the “exclusive Playstation surprise” that Sony was teasing for their upcoming simulcast of their E3 presser from theaters has been leaked.

Some users on NeoGAF have been reporting receiving emails with Battlefield: Hardline beta invites, instead of a physical reward like a t-shirt or something, like some fans had been hoping for.

The email confirmation in question can be found below:

Welcome to the Beta

Thank you for attending the PlayStation E3 Experience. Be one of the first to live out your fantasy as a cop or criminal where you’ll hunt and raid valuts in two new game modes on the High Tension map.

Here is your PS4 Access Code to download the Beta:

The tickets for this event across North America sold out in an incredible amount of time. Did you guys get tickets? If so, which theater are you heading to?

    The big surprise is…..

An invite to Battlefield’s next beta.

I can hardly contain my excitement.

Believe it or not, but the screen cap had that in it. It is suspicious though! We’ll keep this updated.

Not really “Battlefield”, just got the name smacked on top. A decent amount of effort has been put into making this a competitor for Watch Dogs and GTA (albeit probably with less of a budget and refinement).

Thanks man :) Trying to keep it moving, gain more momentum, build something new for these kinds of games.

I was really saddened that it was a beta invite for a game I’m not really interested in though. I was hoping it’d be like…. a lanyard at least, or a hat. Physical swag goes a looooong way.

True but a Beta for a game you’re not that interested in is an effortless way to try it out risk-free. You never know, they could surprise you like Ubi did with me for Watch Dogs. I thought it was gonna be crap! LOL. I was wrong…

Speaking of Watch Dogs, we’ll be putting a review for it up soon, I’ve just been completely swamped lately. Normally we don’t cover games with such a huge impact but it is a new IP from Ubisoft, so.

That I could get behind, then.

Sad that they felt the need to tack the Battlefield name onto it though, since that will drive a lot of their audience (Folks like me) away since we assume it’s just another modern warfare online FPS clone.
