King Art Games’ Kickstarter campaign for The Dwarves has successfully reached its funding goal.
At the time of writing, they’ve raised roughly $273,000 of their 250,000 goal. This means the game is set for a mid-2016 release across PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Featured above, a nine-minute long gameplay video was revealed of the game’s pre-alpha build. It’s worth reiterating this is still an early/rough build of the game, and one they put together to give fans a better idea of how the game plays.
The Kickstarter still has some stretch goals to attain, including:
- A complete orchestral musical score
- New companion for protagonist Tungdil, with a unique backstory and quests.
- Local cooperative play is added, for up to four players
- New Game Plus and Horde modes
To be clear, King Arts are currently $60,000 from the first stretch goal, however should they reach it, their fans will be able to pick which of the above goals will be unlocked first.
In our previous report, we also confirmed that legendary heavy metal band Blind Guardian are collaborating with King Art on the game.
