Sony’s worldwide studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida, has been at twitter all the way leading up to the Playstation 4’s launch.
Recently, he has confirmed a cool little piece of information, the Dualshock 4 will function with a PC, without any extra programming needed:

Also, he has further clarified how functional it really is when connected to a PC:

So there you have it, if you absolutely love the Dualshock’s design and want to use it for PC games, you’ll be able to do so with the DS4.
