We’ve been following Sega and Media Vision’s upcoming dragon-filled fantasy RPG, Shining Resonance, under the impression that the protagonist was literally a fire breathing dragon that could talk.
Sadly, this seems to not be the case, as this week’s Famitsu magazine confirms the protagonist, Yuma Irvan (featured above, left), is a being that can shift between dragon and human forms. We’ve also learned his English name: Shining Dragon Irvan.
The magazine seems to be describing Irvan as a being who transforms into his “Progress Body” dragon form during battle, and who outside of battle takes the form of the human, Yuma Irvan (who is voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki).
Famitsu also confirmed the voice actors for the other previously confirmed characters:
- Kirika – Saori Hayami
- Agnam – voice by Mamoru Miyano
- Georg – voice by Rikiya Koyama
- Rinna – voice by Ai Kayano
- Sonia – voice by Asami Seto
Lastly, Miyuki Sawashiro and Yuichi Nakamura will also voice unannounced characters in the game.
Shining Resonance is coming to PlayStation 3 in Japan on December 11th. A western release hasn’t been confirmed, but we’ll keep you guys posted.
