It seems like the studio behind Devil’s Third, Valhalla Game Studios, are hiring for a new game.
The news comes via some job listings over on their official website. While development on Devil’s Third is being wrapped up, the nature of their next game is currently unknown.
For those who haven’t been following the unfortunate origins of Valhalla Game Studios and Devil’s Third, the game was announced shortly after Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki form the new independent studio. THQ picked the game up, but later returned the rights back to Valhalla in 2013, following their company going defunct.
Valhalla had to go back to overhaul the game, as it was being developed in the Darksiders II engine (which THQ sold off following their closure), only to be switched back to Unreal 3 engine. Finally, Nintendo came in last year to announce their publishing of the game, rescuing it from uncertainty.
Devil’s Third is launching in Japan on August 4th, followed by a European release on August 28th. A North American release is set for sometime after that.
As for Valhalla Game Studios’ new project, we’ll keep you guys posted.
