The Annecy Festival Online will seemingly premiere a work-in-progress look at The Cuphead Show, after a listing was noticed on Twitter (thanks Catsuka!)
The Annecy Festival had reported its event would take place online, after its cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic. When discussing the Work in Progress short films that would appear at the festival, The Cuphead Show was revealed to be one of them.
As of this time of writing, there has not been a statement from Studio MDHR, or Netflix. While we originally reported the show would be heading to Netflix, it appears the show will premiere at the festival. You can find the full rundown below.
The video game that smashed onto the scene with a gorgeous retro animation style, crazy boss-brawls and nearly impossible gameplay now comes to life in “The Cuphead Show!”. This character driven comedy follows the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily-swayed brother, Mugman.
