The Crew abruptly delisted, servers shutting off in 2024

The Crew

Ubisoft has suddenly delisted the original The Crew game from all digital storefronts, with its servers scheduled to be cut off next year.

Originally released back in 2014 for PC, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, the open-world racing game is now unavailable on all digital storefronts. The game’s servers will be shut down on March 31st, 2024, making it unplayable.

Furthermore, game preservationists will be sad to know The Crew is an online-only game, so even if you pick up a disc copy for its console release, it’ll be entirely unplayable next year.

The game spawned two sequels thus far with 2018’s The Crew 2 and most recently The Crew Motorfest, which just launched back in September of this year.

Reactions to the original game being so abruptly delisted have been negative. With no prior official word from Ubisoft, some fans likely feel a bit anxious about its sequels being abruptly delisted in the future, too.
