Yoshitaka Murayama is probably most famous for the Suikoden series, a series he had a major part in creating and pioneering across the world. Sadly, he has parted ways with the series and Konami, but it looks like he still has the passion to create new and interesting games.
In an interview with the Suikoden Revival Movement, we’ve learned that Murayama is working on a new game that is being developed with his western fans in mind, and that it might be localized to boot:
“It’s hard to say with certainty what will happen in the game industry, but one of the projects I’m currently involved with is targeted mainly towards the overseas audience.”
“However,” he added, “we’ve only just launched the project very recently and are not sure when things will actually get off the ground. When we do have something to show, I’ll be sure to post a message about it on my homepage.”
The interview is actually really awesome, especially for a longtime Suikoden fan as myself – you should definitely read it.
We’ll keep you guys posted on the happenings with Murayama’s studio, Blue Moon.
