We’ve learned the consumer version of the Oculus Rift is finally coming, next year.

The hotly anticipated consumer version of the virtual reality headset will arrive some time in quarter one of 2016. Further details, like a price and a specific date, weren’t confirmed at this time.

“The Oculus Rift builds on the presence, immersion, and comfort of the Crescent Bay prototype with an improved tracking system that supports both seated and standing experiences, as well as updated ergonomics for a more natural fit, and a highly refined industrial design,” said the company in a press release.

The consumer version of the headset was previously set to arrive some time this year, but due to an expanding ambition at the company, it had to be delayed.

According to Oculus, we’ll be learning new details soon. “In the weeks ahead, we’ll be revealing the details around hardware, software, input, and many of our unannounced made-for-VR games and experiences coming to the Rift. Next week, we’ll share more of the technical specifications here on the Oculus blog.”

We’ll keep you guys posted.
