The Coffin of Andy and Leyley banned in Australia

Update: The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is back after being effectively banned and has now been given an R-18+ adult rating

The “controversy” behind The Coffin of Andy and Leyley has allegedly led the game to being banned in Australia.

Niche Gamer can independently confirm The Coffin of Andy and Leyley has effectively been banned in Australia, as it will not load in Steam with our tests.

Many Twitter users have been claiming that the game has been banned in Australia:

Livestreamers such as Asmongold asked his Australian viewers if they can see the Steam page for the game, and they said they allegedly couldn’t, only being able to see the above-mentioned “this item is currently unavailable in your region” message:

The game stirred up “controversy” on Twitter due to a brief dream sequence where the male protagonist ends up sleeping with his sister.

Australia is no stranger to censorship, as they’ve previously banned the To-Love Ru Darkness manga, Omega Labyrinth Z, the Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu anime, and a nightclub even banned “nonconsensual staring“.

The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is available now as an Early Access title on Windows PC (via Steam).
