According to Striking Distance Studios game director, Glen Schofield, the game will take roughly twelve (12) to fourteen (14) hours to beat; this falls in line with the original Dead Space‘s time to beat. Prior to the game’s release, the game and Striking Distance Studios have come under scrutiny.

On October 27th, the Japanese release was canceled due to failing to get a CERO rating due to the game’s violent content. Additionally, Schofield came under scrutiny due to his comments on crunch culture; this led him to apologize and promise that crunching would not happen with future games’ development.
