Publisher Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and developer ARVORE have announced The Boys: Trigger Warning, a new virtual reality game based on the show of the same name.
The Boys: Trigger Warning is in development for Quest VR (via Meta) and PlayStation VR2 (via the PlayStation Store) with a release set for 2026.
“From day one, we wanted to build an adaptation hand-in-hand with the people who defined this universe,” said Ricardo Justus, Founder and Head of Studio at ARVORE in a press release. “Working with the show’s writers and cast allowed us to bring the edge, humor, and brutality that made the series iconic, delivered with the spark of magic only ARVORE can create.”
Sony Pictures Entertainment SVP of Virtual Reality Lance Sloane added, ““We’re thrilled to work with ARVORE to bring The Boys: Trigger Warning to life in VR. Having the show’s creators involved in shaping the experience allows us to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling, and we’re grateful to collaborate with our friends at Meta and PlayStation to deliver it to fans.”
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:
Developed with the creators and featuring cast from the hit series, “The Boys: Trigger Warning” plunges you into the gloriously twisted world of The Boys. This time, you’re not watching the chaos—you’re in it: close-up, personal, and dangerously real.
Lucas Costa’s life detonates when the Armstrongs—a washed-up but still lethal family of Vought Superheroes—turn a family outing into carnage. The Boys drag Lucas back from the brink, juice him with powers, and throw him headfirst into their filthy underground war against Vought and its Supes. With Butcher and Mother’s Milk guiding from the shadows, Lucas sets off on a no-mercy hunt to put the Armstrongs in the ground.
