Stoic Studio and publisher Versus Evil have released the first DLC pack for The Banner Saga 3 since its launch back in July.

The aptly-named Survival Mode is a brutal new set of challenges that promise to push your tactical skills to the limit. Build a party of characters from the main campaign and face off against the Darkness in a series of escalating, wave-based battles. The Banner Saga 3 is the latest, and final, installment in Stoic’s Norse fantasy strategy RPG trilogy that was six years in the making.

The Survival Mode DLC costs $4.99. You can find The Banner Saga 3 on Windows PC and Mac (via Steam and GOG), PS4, Xbox One, and Switch for $24.99. The game is currently 20% off to celebrate the new DLC and a major recent patch.
