Developer 11 bit studios released a big and free content update for The Alters, their sci-fi psychological thriller game.

The big new update is now available and brings with it new systems, fresh customization options, and player-requested features to the game.

Furthermore, 11 bit studios also revealed that the game will receive more content updates and paid downloadable content through 2026.

The Alters, a sci-fi personal survival game, receives its first Free Major Content Update, introducing highly requested features like Relax Mode and Photo Mode, alongside a revamped saving system that allows saving on exit and during key gameplay moments. The update also adds a card-based mini-game, a new black-and-white noir-styled story mission, and more.

The Alters has been available for Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 since June 2025.
