The Age of Decadence, a Post-Apocalyptic RPG Inspired by the Roman Empire, is Released

After over ten years of development and two years in Steam Early Access, Iron Tower’s oldschool cRPG Age of Decadence has finally seen a full official release.

Age of Decadence is a turn-based role-playing game with 3D graphics that immitate the look of 1990s PC RPGs. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world with culture that seems similar to late Roman Empire. Its focus is clearly on non-linearity and complexity, similar to the first two Fallout titles.

When compared to other modern takes on the classic style of role-playing games, Age of Decadence looks like an uncompromisingly challenging game. To succeed, players have to both think and act like characters in the game’s world and master the game’s mechanics.

Age of Decadence can be bought on Steam.

About

I play games (I have a preference for old, weird and difficult ones but that's not the rule) and write articles about them that are sometimes a bit too long. Sometimes I also do things other than gaming, I swear.
