Publisher Bandai Namco and co-developers ZOC and Monkeycraft have announced That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles, a new action RPG based on the franchise of the same name.
The game follows the story of the popular manga and anime series, players will take on the role of the titular slime Rimuru Tempest as he grows his monster nation The Jura Tempest Federation.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles will follow the main story in a 2D side-scrolling RPG featuring characters like Gobuta and Benimaru. Fans can also expect new characters to be introduced.
There will also be two original stories in the game, supervised by series creator Fuse. You can check out the trailer for the game below:
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime follows Mikami Satoru after being stabbed protecting an acquaintance. In his last moments an errant wish to not bleed to death results in him being reincarnated as a slime. Combined with his powerful skills Great Sage and Predator, he quickly grows in power. The third season of the anime is airing now.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles is set to release August 8 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
