That Hello Kitty Mecha is Actually Being Made

Remember that Hello Kitty mecha that was being teased for 3rd Super Robot Wars Z: Jigoku-Hen, on April Fool’s Day this year? A trailer was shown on the site (now unavailable) that showed the new mecha in action within the game. This was, of course, completely a fake mock up for April Fool’s Day – I’m sorry to burst any bubbles for people that are desperately wanting a Hello Kitty branded mecha.

The story doesn’t end here though, as both the Chogokin line of mecha from Bandai and the Hello Kitty brand are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year. While this isn’t the collaboration some fans might have wanted after that April Fool’s tease, it actually was confirmed earlier this year, and it’s totally coming soon. The robot has four different modes to deploy: drive, dive, fly, and last but not least – angry.

Again, this isn’t the same as being put into a Super Robot Taisen game, but you can check out the official page for the Hello Kitty model here, you can eventually pre-order it through here.
