Funimation has acquired the rights to officially localize and distribute the Bayonetta: Bloody Fate anime movie in both the United States and Canada.
The movie was produced by Studio Gonzo, and it was directed by Fuminori Kizaki of Afro Samurai fame. The story in Bloody Fate is mostly parallel to the story of the original game, but it does have a few changes.
Funimation also revealed that Kizaki will be a guest of honor at the annual Anime Expo, which is going down between July 3rd and the 6th. At the expo, Funimation will give fans a sneak peek at the English dub. They will debut the movie at the convention, and Kizaki will naturally hold a Q&A session on the second to last day, July 5th, at 8:15 PM.
