Bayonetta, the high flying action game by Platinum Games, is getting an anime adaptation, courtesy of the talented anime studio Gonzo. Gonzo is known for stuff like Hellsing, Chrono Crusade, and Rosario + Vampire.
The anime adaptation, titled simply Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, is being overseen by the original Bayonetta artist, Mari Shimazaki, and the director of Afro Samurai, Fuminori Kizaki.
The confirmed returning characters are Bayonetta, Cereza, Enzo, Jean, Luka and Rodin. Up until now, the anime was not confirmed for a release outside of Japan. Now, Madman Entertainment has confirmed they’ll be bringing the anime to Australia and New Zealand next year.
Here’s hoping the anime will make it to the Americas, as I personally am a huge fan of the IP.
