This week’s Famitsu (via Hachima Kikou) has revealed tow brand new characters Nintendo and Atlus’ Wii U-exclusive RPG, Genei Ibun Roku #FE (which we still sometimes call Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, to avoid confusion), as well as some returning characters.

The two new additions are:

• Mamori Minamoto (voice by Kaori Fukuhara) – A talented individual and a Mirage Master who is part of the same public entertainment office as the main characters. An elementary school student, she likes Showa-era clothing and music.
• Barry Goodman (voice by Yuichi Nakamura) – A musician that was once popular, he now comes to Japan to look for otaku culture. Despite being retired, he is working with the protagonist as his trainer.

Famitsu revealed new beings known as Mirages, who are strange creatures not of the game’s world, and yet are drawn to the creative energy of people. These beings also fight alongside the main characters in battle.

The confirmed Mirages thus far include:

• Eleonora Yumizuru – Virion (Fire Emblem Awakening)
• Kiria Kurono – Tharja (Fire Emblem Awakening)
• Mamori Minamoto – Draug (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Blade of Light)

Genei Ibun Roku #FE is launching for the Wii U in Japan on December 26th, followed by a North American and European launch sometime next year.
