We previously got a look at what Square Enix creator Tetsuya Nomura had in store for Sega’s musical idol, Hatsune Miku, in the form of a curious new collaboration/design by Nomura himself.
Now we’ve learned via this week’s Famitsu magazine that a new design is not where the collaboration ends, at least for now. In an interview with Famitsu, Nomura revealed that a potential game collaboration could be happening:
“Of course the potential for a game is there. There are various development approaches I’d like to consider with [Shinji] Hashimoto.”
Nomura also teased future games that he’s working on:
“My plans are mostly set from now until sometime in 2019, and I’m involved with a lot of projects that will be revealed next year, and even later. The Miku collaboration was a project that I sought out myself out of personal interest, but hopefully the next reveal for something I’m working on will be a game.”
